Hello! I'm Sienna, the Library Assistant at Jannes Library. I curate our library displays a few months out and try to center them around an overarching themes.
When I curate displays under this umbrella theme, I view them as the simultaneously loved and despised connections puzzle on the New York Times. Like connections, four groups of displays may exist at a time- all the contents of a single display relate to one another, some relations are subtle while others are more obvious.
These displays can be found in at least four places around the library: 1st floor entryway cases, 1st floor rare books room mantle, 1st floor reading room mantle, and the 2nd floor reading room bookcase. Corresponding posters should be nearby in these instances to give you insight into the displays!
