Find Resources in Jannes Library
Use the KCAI Library Catalog to find books, electronic books, journals, magazines, videos and other resources owned by Jannes Library. In the library's catalog you'll be able to search by title, authors, keyword or subject to find useful resources.
The library has many ebooks that can be found by searching using the advanced keyword search in the library catalog. Next select ebook for the format. If you'd like to browse the collection enter "*" (shift 8) in the search box or if you know the ebook you'd like search for it specifically. Once you've found your ebook you can read it online, print sections of the book or download it to a reader.
KCAI belongs to the MOBIUS library consortium of over 60 academic libraries in Missouri. KCAI students and faculty are able to initiate requests for books online, enabling you to borrow from any MOBIUS member-library. If available, your item(s) will be delivered to Jannes Library for you to check out. In order to borrow from other libraries, you must have a borrower’s account at KCAI’s Jannes Library, and your library account must be in good standing (no overdues or fines owed). When placing an online request, you need to know your KCAI ID number, and that KCAI is a member of the “Kansas City” cluster. Searching for Library Books
KCAI’s library catalog offers these options:
· Searching the KCAI Jannes Library Collection: this is the default search when using the Library Catalog
· Expanding your search to include all 60+ MOBIUS libraries throughout Missouri. This search will include the UMKC Miller Nichols Library. Select the “MOBIUS” button.
· Requesting MOBIUS Books Use the “Request” button or link to place a request for books from other libraries found on KANSAS CITY or MOBIUS. Delivery to Jannes Library usually takes 2 days, sometimes 3. You will be notified at your KCAI e-mail address when your book arrives at Jannes Library for pick up.
