Find encyclopedia articles, definitions, articles, images and more in the library's subscription databases. These databases are licensed for use by KCAI students, faculty and staff. TIP: Use Chrome or Internet Explorer for best results.
Getting Started
When starting your research think broadly about your topic. You might want to start by searching in Encyclopedia Britannica or survey texts on your topic. Once you've built a framework, then you're able to focus your research by finding relevant books, in the library catalog, and articles, in artnet. If you need help at any point the library staff is here to help, contact us.
Visit the library
The library's website is an important resource that provides access to all of the resources mentioned in this guide. For current library and computer lab hours, new resources and updates to the library's facebook page make sure to visit the library's website.
Important Tips
· There is no public access to the library after 9 pm; Jannes is open exclusively for KCAI students, faculty and staff at these times. Entry requires KCAI ID card-swipe at the card-reader.
· Inclement weather: If KCAI classes are cancelled due to weather, then Jannes Library and Lab are closed. Check the college’s home page for news of class cancellation due to weather. Phone 816-802-3390 (library) or -3365 (lab) for information on hours and deviation from the published schedule.
